Graeme Smith has made a successful return to training after more than a month on the sidelines with a finger injury.
The South Africa captain held a 30-minute session with national bowling coach Vincent Barnes at Newlands as he begins the final leg of his recovery ahead of the ICC World Twenty20 that begins on April 30.

Brett Lee's participation in the upcoming World Twenty20 competition remains in doubt as he continues his recuperation from a broken thumb.
Lee injured his thumb while turning out for the Kings XI Punjab in the IPL but Australian coach Tim Nielsen is hopeful that the bowler will have recovered in time to take up his place in the Australian squad.

Shahid Afridi has confirmed that Pakistan allrounder Yasir Arafat will play no part at the ICC World Twenty20 in the Caribbean, due to a calf injury.
The 28-year old, the leading wicket taker in Twenty20 cricket worldwide with 90 scalps, had been a doubt from the beginning of his country's pre-tournament camp, which started in Lahore last week.

Ryan Sidebottom is concerned that England could be at a disadvantage in the World Twenty20 due to low representation in the Indian Premier League.
Five members of England's 15-man squad, including captain Paul Collingwood, have been in action in the third edition of the IPL, but Sidebottom considers that number potentially insufficient if they are to counter the innovations made by rival players with greater Twenty20 experience.

Pakistan face an anxious wait to know whether Twenty20 expert Umar Gul will be fit for the World Twenty20 as the team manager expressed hope Tuesday that the fast bowler can play.
The 25-year-old Gul sustained a shoulder injury while fielding at a training camp in the eastern city of Lahore last week, but managed to bowl with a short run-up on Tuesday.

Umar Akmal became the fourth Pakistan player to be injured at the national squad's preparatory camp for the ICC World Twenty20 tournament, which starts on April 30.
A side strain has kept the Pakistan batsman out of net sessions at the camp in Lahore, putting him on the recovery list alongside Umar Gul who suffered a shoulder injury earlier this week, as well as Fawad Alam and Yasir Arafat who face minor injury worries.

Considering the red-hot form Sachin Tendulkar is in these days, it would have been fantastic for India's ICC World Twenty20 campaign if the batting legend was a part of the squad, feels Harbhajan Singh.
Tendulkar does not play T20 internationals anymore hence the selectors did not include him in the Indian squad for the World Twenty20, beginning in the West Indies from April 30.

Pakistan coach Waqar Younis believes that defending champions Pakistan would be banking upon its spinners to retain the ICC World Twenty20 title.
Waqar said that the team has spinners who could pocket the coveted title for a second consecutive time.
"We have a variety of all types of bowlers but I think we have an edge in the spin department and we will be depending upon our spinners to play a key role in team's success to defend the title," Waqar told reporters on the sidelines of the ongoing training camp at the National Cricket Academy here.
